Ritz Carlton – As you probably know, in November Marriott announced a “revision” of the construction schedule, which in local terms basically means it’s shut down. Stated plans are to continue with the build out in 2010. Clients of mine recently golfed on an empty course…if you like ocean views, and lack of crowding – great golf course to visit right now! From what I’m told, the change in plans reflects a global Marriott plan on cash conservation, not a reflection of the Kauai market.
